Effort (Treadmill) Test
An exertion test is an examination performed by taking ECGs and measuring blood pressure in series while the person walks at certain speeds on a treadmill. It enables the detection of abnormal findings that cannot be detected on ECG at rest after exertion. Effort test provides great convenience in the early diagnosis and diagnosis of heart diseases.
The potential changes caused by the electrical activity of the heart are spread simultaneously throughout the body with the help of the tissues around the heart and especially the blood. The resulting electrical changes are amplified and recorded by means of conductive leads (electrodes) placed in various parts of the body.
